the fine print, in plain type

Terms

The promises we make on this site, gathered in one place. When you sign up to a plan, the specifics of your engagement are confirmed with you in writing by email.

What the service is

fleetpages is ongoing website care: hosting, monitoring, backups, tracked enquiry leads, and on the plans that include them, changes made by asking, previewed and approved by you before anything goes live. The website build itself is a separately quoted project.

Edits

  • An edit is one thing you ask for, taken through to one approved publish. Iterating on the preview within a request ("make it bigger, no, the other photo") is all part of that one change.
  • When you ask the Manager for a change to your website, it prepares a draft and sends you a link to review. The change is published only when you approve it. Stock levels and bookings you ask it to update change straight away. An unapproved request simply expires: nothing goes live, and you're never billed for work you didn't approve.
  • Day-to-day edits are part of your Manager's job, however many you need. There is no meter and nothing to use up. Anything genuinely big (a redesign, new software features, or claims you haven't made) is quoted separately as studio work before anything starts, so you always know which side of that line a request is on.

Pricing

Every plan, build tier and module setup fee is published, on the websites and agents pages. Where work has to be scoped, the setup price is published and the rest is quoted in writing before anything starts. Reseller and white-label arrangements are negotiated with partners rather than listed here. All prices are in Australian dollars, plus GST. If pricing changes, existing clients hear about it from us directly before anything changes for them.

Your plan and cancelling

  • Plans are billed in advance and run month to month unless your written engagement says otherwise.
  • Cancel any time with 30 days' written notice. We don't pro-rata refunds for partial months.
  • Our team can restore the databases behind your site, including your enquiries, to any point in the last 30 days, on request, and a copy is exported every night and kept separately for 90 days. Pictures, uploaded files and chat history are not in those copies. Every version of your site the Manager publishes is kept, so an earlier version can be restored. We still recommend you also keep your own copies.
  • If we ever discontinue fleetpages, we will give you at least 90 days' notice and reasonable export options for your data.

Ownership

Your content is always yours. Your site is portable static files, and if you ever leave, it goes with you. Most domains are registered in the business's own name; a few are still held under Jezweb's business, and we are moving those to their owners.

Ending the service

Either of us may end the service with 30 days' written notice. We may end it immediately if you:

  • materially breach these terms and don't fix it within 14 days of written notice,
  • become insolvent or enter external administration, or
  • behave in a way that genuinely makes the working relationship untenable.

When the service ends, we give reasonable help with the handover (an export of your content and transfer of access). Help that falls outside the services you pay for is charged at $200 + GST a round, quoted first if it is bigger.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to re-supplying the service, the cost of re-supplying it, or the total you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes the Australian Consumer Law guarantees that apply to consumers.

Honest limits

  • We never guarantee search rankings. Nobody honestly can.
  • Content on this site describes how the service works today. It is general information, not professional advice for your specific situation.
